cmdrdan, did you try re-using open_bump.py on the boot.img and re-flashing only the boot; or, replacing ROM .zip's boot.img with the re-open bumped boot.img in ROM .zip before re-flashing ROM? congrats!

python2 open_bump.py "/path/to/boot.img"

(just remove .txt from the attached filename to make open_bump.py )
