Apps not available

It is also up to Google to make the compatibility filter actually work. It seems to allow tons that truly aren't compatible to install and wreak havoc, but blacklists apps which run fine when side loaded. Either the developers are very stupid or Google should simply do away with the compatibility filter until it can actually do its job properly (Play Store is the only app store with that asinine filter)

as i stated, 99.99% of the time, the app that Play Store assumes is 'not compatible with your device' would often work perfectly fine, be it from Amazon App Store, or sideloaded from the APK. the problem comes when paid apps are affected--as you can't simply find the APK online there.

I've seen apps flagged as not compatible because they're being installed on a phone without a rear camera. even though the app in question didn't even make use of the camera--it simply triggered that flag on Play Store and wouldn't allow certain apps to work unless your device had a rear camera--whether they made use of it or not.
