Hi, welcome to Android Forums.

To remove a widget from your home screen, long-press the widget and drag it to the Remove box that appears on your screen. (On the HTC One it appears top right of the screen.)

Note. The widgets will still be in your widget store should you want to put them back on your homepage in the future.

If you are looking to remove them completely from your device you can only do this with widgets associated with apps you have installed yourself, in which case you will have to uninstall the app. All icons, widgets and shortcuts associated with that app will then be removed.

Unless you are rooted you will not have the option to uninstall any apps, widgets or shortcuts that are pre-installed on your device.
