Help Audio problem

Has anybody else had this problem, on my one x the fm radio app power button turns off all sound on phone, the only way I have found to keep sound on the phone is to pull out the headset while fm radio is still turned on.
Is this a faulty app or a bug in the software.

I've just tested and it doesn't do it for me, all it does is exit the app. Does it mute the put the phone in silent mode (is there a notification in the task bar?) or does sound just stop working?

It turns the whole sound off, it does not put phone on mute.

You could try clearing the cache and data associated with the radio app, see if that resolves it. Settings > Apps > All > FM Radio > Clear Cache/Data.

Do you have any 3rd party apps controlling sound at all?

I have tried clearing cache.
I do not have any apps controlling the sound.
After contacting HTC support, I tried soft resetting phone and using other headset it did not make any difference.
It seems that the power switch on FM radio, when turned off turns off the sound on the phone.
The sound stays on if I pull headset out of socket, wihout turning off FM radio.

If you've factory reset and it doesn't make a difference, I'm not sure what to suggest. Have you tried another FM Radio app?

I am now trying to get T-mobile to replace the phone, at the moment they are trying to avoid doing this, but I shall persist.

I am having the same issue - I use the FM radio every day and when I turn it off within the app it cuts all sound. Did HTC confirm it was a technical issue and have you had the phone replaced?

I am having the same problem as soon as I switch off the fm radio it cuts off all the sound.

HI Guys,

I use a 3rd party task killer and just added FM Radio and FMRadioService to the apps in the whitelist and then the service does not get killed when I press the power button or when a ram refresh occurs.

Am now able to listen to the radio even with the screen off.

@mariacc14: Yes I did get the phone replaced by my provider, but the issue remains the same unfortunately.
