I've always been worried that I would lose my Android phone, so I was wondering if it was technically possible to use an application that runs on bootup to automatically transmit GPS coordinates to either an FTP server or email.

If there's already an App that does this, great, but if there isn't, would it be possible given the software limitations of Android?

Give the app "GPS Tracker" a try ... has worked nicely for me.
