Help Backing Up & Restore

Hi

Got a Desire on 2.2 through 3 Network.

Having a few problems, so did a factory reset upon advice from 3 Helpdesk.

Why don't I have any restore options in settings. According to HTC.com Support I should have a bacl up option in Settings, under Privacy....but I don't have a Privacy menu! Why not?

Turning automatic backup on or off

1. From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings.
2. Scroll down the screen, and then tap Privacy > Back up my data & settings.
3. Select or clear the Back up my data & settings check box to turn automatic backup on or off.

Its been hidden since 2.2 so that is out of date.

I think you have to search using the search key, but I forget the specific search term.

The keyword is "privacy". Last entry I think.

Thank-you...but once again I can't find anything. Think I might take it into a three shop.

Backup is there it is just hidden....

Go to menu > settings > search > searchable items > scroll down to the Settings

Click the tick button and then exit out of the settings and click the search button on the home screen.

search for "privacy" the Privacy tab option will open, tap it and it will open and show auto back up and options.

I think moving forward titanium backup used with visionary+ temp root solution (warranty not affected) is the best solution
