Got this from another forum:

Motorola Owners' Forum acknowledged the following:

Quote:
"A very small percentage of the doors are a the low end of our specifications. If you are having a problem with your door falling off, contact our call center. Use the link on our forum home page that says "Contact Us" and you can either call or chat or e-mail. We'll send you a new one.
Sorry for the problem."

has anyone been told there being send a new door cause i contacted them and they want me to buy one from there site for 9.99..i expected this to be a free replacement

Same here; I went to that link from above, and they sent me to their website to buy a replacement; screw that, this is their problem and they should fix it free; I'll email them and if they won't send it for free, I might try the screwdriver to the metal plate thing that the video above suggested.

see this thread for a business card fix:

Motorola is responsive via link mentioned above, originally referred me to their webpage to order a $9.99 cover; I protested, and they are sending me a cover for free. Hoping it will fix it, if not, will try the business card trick. I'd much rather do something reversible than go bending metal personally.
