Its been a few years since I even came back to Android Forums. I think the last phone I owned when I posted was the og DX. I've since moved to many different phones and eventually switched to the Z10 for awhile. I realized I had to go back to Android and did some research and found myself with the Maxx. I had forgotten how much I liked Motorola and how much abuse I put my DX through and what it survived. Anyway, it sure is nice to be back. In sure first thing in going to do is head over to the root section.

    Welcome back.

I suggest you look into Nova Launcher Prime. A number of reasons for root-ing in the past have been supplanted by it.

...And if your Maxx came with the recent patch update, or even the pre-patch OS, you can't be rooted...sort of.

Honestly, with Nova I don't miss root one bit.
