Before i buy my archos 7"

Do you mean that market will be an app on my 7? I don't have one, I have been going to the website.

Yes, I was talking about having the actual Market.apk loaded on the device. I've done a little checking and it looks like they are still fixing some issues with the custom firmwares (ROMs).

It looks like there is not currently a good way of getting Android Market on to this device. You can read more here:

Just an update. I upgraded it to Android 2.2, and now its great! I does everything I want it to do.

Waitaminute... how did you get Android 2.2 on the Archos 7 Home? i thought it only had 2.1. Im actually thinking of picking one up to mess around with. Blockbuster is closing out and they are selling em for 118

I don't think the 2.2 update is from Archos...it's an aftermarket ROM that you can install yourself (but it voids your warranty).

My advice would be don't buy. Thought it was utter rubbish. Went with a Superpad 2 instead and much prefer it
