Bettery meter won't accurately read the long-life Seidio battery

The internal meter says it is due for charge long before its out of juice. Battery Left widget will give accurate voltage levels, but it too is fooled, even after proper calibration. Ideas?
 
I just got my battery yesterday, and it registered as dead/dying several times today. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Maybe it's reporting based on the original battery mAh as it was not designed to be sensitive to a battery with more mAh? I know that when we calibrate software and voltage declination, it's bsed on knowing what the battery mAh is. If there is more than one battery, calibration tables are loaded for each, and the battery identifies itself to the power management IC so that right charging algorithms and declination tables are used.
 
This is a common problem with the extend battery it has to do witht the droid firmware..here is no real way around his as of now a lot of people are usin the battery left widget to atleast trey to calibrate to see how much time they get out of it and ignore the red light low batery warning
 
I too have a seidio 2600 mah extended battery, but i was wondering if theres any way to hack the firmware to make it accept higher capacity batteries
 
I'm hoping that hack can be found in the next day or so, 'cause I just filled out the form to return my to Seidio. I loved the ease of knowing my Droid was running like a champ all day, but I can't function with it behaving in that manner.... :(
 
The battery has to be charged for an additional 4hrs (2, but i say more!) and then let it drain through regular use. This will continue for an additional 3 days or so for the battery to actually be completely charged (like a regular new battery) Power off and on the phone after each 6hr charge, and the phone should recognize the new battery capacity.

EDIT- There may be an additional step I may have missed and I dont remember where I got these steps from, but I know this is a common 'issue' with the item. I personally dont have one but since I research what I plan to purchase before purchasing *hinthint lol* I know what to expect.
