Root Blast you verizon

I got my eris in yesterday, been messing with it getting my stuff set up and went to see if i could root. *explicative deleted* 2.1 with hboot 1.49. Oh well, guess i'll live for a while until someone figures out how to root this one.

How do you find out what version hboot you have?

power your phone off. then power if back on by pressing send and end at the same time. The version of hboot should be at the top of the screen

That bites. I am one that has absolutely no issues with my phone on the v3 leak and will not make up issues just to get a new phone. So, I play the waiting game, as well. However, I would be surprised if anyone is actively trying to root the HBOOT 1.49 Eris. Most devs seem to have moved on to other phones or are staying plenty busy with custom ROMs.
