Bluetooth keyboard usage

Hi all.

I am about to buy a bluetooth keyboard for my Android for some daily work times on train but I have doubts about how it works and I want to ask before.

I remember testing a phisical keyboard through USB before and after plugging, before typing, I had to select the keyboard on the keyboard chooser notification. Then, if I wanted to use the soft keyboard I had to select again the soft keyboard and the hardware keyboard stopped working until I choose it again.

So, is that behavior the same with bluetooth keyboards? The described operation is still actual on current Android versions? - I have Android 8.0.

Yeah. You have to scroll through some settings to set it up but not evertime until you restart or something. OT: Where are you from @asdfaf?

Nevermind...

Once you pair the keyboard with your phone you'll still have to go to Bluetooth settings and choose that keyboard. I do not believe you can make a bluetooth keyboard the default keyboard.
