Root [Boost Mobile] Google Movies and TV

I was trying to watch Heaven is for Real the other night and it was stuck at the Sony screen. I found forums where people said that movies should run on rooted devices but for some reason it wouldn't run on mine. In fact the only way I was able to play the movie I purchased was on my laptop.

I am running the Singularity custom rom. I later tried watching another sample video and it wouldn't work either. So I ruled out "it was just the movie" issue. Is there something I am missing in order to watch movies on my custom rom phone?

Try using the VLC player from the Play store. It has just about every codec you need. It plays most all movies.

As stated in the OP, this is the movies and such that I would purchase from Google Play. I am afraid to buy another movie until I get a freebie one playing correctly.
