If you are rooted most likely you have a custom bootloader installed. If the bootloader you have installed doesn't support OTA updates it will fail when you try to update. So you will either need to unroot and load the original bootloader on the phone or find a bootloader that supports OTA updates. Be mindful you will probably lose root when you do the OTA update.
