the data is not stored anywhere except your phone and to secure this data - the application can be locked with a personal password

Why does the app need full network access permission? And does it work offline?

If you say so.. However the developer doesn't say it. They don't say on the app page, or on their website.

And passwords mean nothing if you write the lock or a backdoor and a set of permissions to allow you to grab that data on a whim.

The fact the developer doesn't have a privacy policy, is a major warning sign that they haven't thought about these issues, or that they don't consider users important enough to share this information with them.

If everything did stay local then there's no need for network access at all...

It may be the developer is a paragon of virtue... And just naive... But either way, trust is everything in an app like this, and if you have reasons to doubt it, you shouldn't use it.

The app has ads. I think the full network access permission is required for that.
But yes, this app should have at least a privacy policy, considering the sensitive nature of the information being managed.

Again... If anyone is using my financial data in an app to target advertising against me, I can see why a lot of people would be unhappy with that as well....

I do believe as the app has Internet access and it's storing personal data, YOU MUST have a stated privacy policy in order be legal. Otherwise could be falling foul of the law, the app could taken down from Play, committing felony offenses, etc.
