Root Can I install a new rom over deodexed revolution theme?

Or do I need to do something else first?

Will this reset my phone to the factory state? Will I have to reload everything?

Are you running the revolution theme over the stock 2.2 OTA right now? If you are and you want to get rid of the theme and start over with a new ROM, I would restore the backup you made before installing the theme, then wipe data and cache and then install the rom. Installing the ROM over the theme won't reset your phone to factory state but it might cause problems if the theme you are running is not designed for that ROM. Better to start with a clean slate, load the ROM, and then put any theme on top of that.

I forgot to mention backup your apps with Titanium backup and your contacts with gmail and you can then just restore everything after you get your new ROM installed.
