Help Can't unbrand/upgrade my third desire??

Ok, I don't know how I've managed to, but after successfully debranding my first two desires (Orange UK) I cannot seem to do No3....

Getting the USB 170/171 error when I try with windows (7-64bit) So trying to install from the goldcard, have renamed to "update.zip" but when I go into bootloader, then recovery, and select "apply sd card update.zip" it says "signature verification failed - update aborted"

And it's doing my head in now!!!

Any tips??

How did you do it the first 2 times? with the RUU?

Try a different usb port, sometimes one will work where a previously used one doesn't.
