Yes... I copied it to the SD and when I went to look at the original copy on my computer, it didn't have it labelled as an image or .img file..

is the file size supposed to only be 1kb?

I think windows will hide the .img extension...and yes, its small

If you want, delete yours, download the extracted file in my DB like you did with the flash_image file...

no it should be like 640 kb or so

edit: that number is when you extract it. lol i'm on my tablet and it reads things weird. so it should be 98 kbs.

How far back do I need to go? start back from the "adb shell cmd"?

when I opened that link it gave me a weird looking error mentioning debugging cable... is it safe to close cmd with exit cmd and switch my phone over to hard drive?

yeah it is safe to close it. just start with adb shell again once you get the new mtd file onto the card.

Should I reboot device now and then shut it back down, or if I select no, can I go to the fastboot screen and run unrevoked?

I selected no to the restart and now it's updating again...?? should I just boot it up and then shut it back down and go into recovery and create the nandroid back up?

Is is safe to remove any of these files from my sd card now?

Perhaps reboot, then either rename or remove the PC36IMG file on sd card.
Then go into recovery, make a nandroid backup, then go to unrevoked. The other 2 files can be removed as well

when I try to boot into recovery.... there's a picture of a phone with a red triangle and an exclamation point on top of the phone's top right corner.... I don't know what this is.. sorry I'm such a noob.. lol

It appears the custom recovery did not install.
At what point is your bootloader now? 2.10?
With no watermark correct?

It had to have installed though... I used it to select the superuser.zip, right??
Yeah, that's what is befuddling.
o.k...be patient as my internet is really slow for some reason.
I wonder what happened...perhaps when it updated for the 2nd time, something went wonky....no worries.... I'll link you to a thread to get you a recovery...standby...I'll update this post with it
Then as ocn asked about unrevoked..... then worry about recovery.

sorry i got confused on where you are at. so like i said the ruu wiped your recovery. you need to run unrevoked first then you can change your recovery as it will give you clockwork mod which an aweful recovery.

sorry had a brain fart.
