Changing the notifcation sound

So i've been through this forum a couple of times now, and I've tired the whole
sdcard/MEDIA/ringtones

and the sdcard/media/ringtones/notifcation

and its doesn't see what i've dropped into the folder.

i've also tired the ringdroid app and everytime i clicked what i wanted it kept doing the force close

You don't put the notification folder in the ringtones folder, they need to be completely separate. I have mine set up this way...

sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
sdcard/media/audio/notifications

It works great for me. Hope this helps.

So I just realized that my filepath is E:/media/audio/notifcations

does it need to be sdcard?
and how would i make it do that?

Thats what it will be when you connect it to your PC. So you're good. Just set up your files the way I described and then turn your phone off and back on and it should work.

oh yeah and make sure everything is spelled lower case or it will not work

thank you so much... I was starting to think that i failed at phones completely, and was gonna make me roommate do it for me.
