    Yep...mine is the same.

It mostly annoying when youre trying to use the phone whilst charging, the connector works loose. I thought it might just have been mine, but looks like its 'normal'

I have just moved from an iphone4 to the Note2 and I feel the connector does not sit as firmly into the phone as it did with the Apple phone. I am a little worried that this could prove faulty over the lifetime of the phone.
This is my first Samsung phone so I have no experience of this particular connector. Has it been used on other Samsung phones?

It's Micro-USB, pretty much standard on all small devices that aren't Apple products at the moment. I've had them on all my phones for the last 3-4 years and never had any fail.

That just goes to show I have been too Apple focused. Micro USB of course. I have just had a rummage through my "assorted cables" box and found a USB to micro USB cable.
    Dugh!

Well what do I know- close to nothing! The micro USB end is larger than the Samsung so it must be something else.
Does anyone have any ideas what it is. It does have that three arrow logo I see on USB connectors. Is there such a thing as large micro USB.

well its gotta be micro usb, coz im using my galaxy s1 charger in the bedroom, and the oem note 2 charger downstairs. i figured even charging at a lower rate over night might be better. oem cable wont stay in unless i slide out of my case though. the slots a bit on the small size. and ive used standard usb to micro on the s1 too, so it gotta be micro usb i reckon.

Neither is mine. Tight as a drum.

No there isn't. Can't be large and micro at the same time. But seriously, no there isn't.

Are any of you using the micro usb that came with the phone? You may have a teensy bit of wiggle but if it feels excessive to YOU take the phone back. It's not supposed to be so loose that you have a fear of it eventually breaking.

Reason I'm letting you know this is because when it's too loose that's because it usually is breaking and eventually you won't be able to charge the phone.

My carrier (Sprint) considers that breakage the customers fault.

In addition, depending on the charger you use and the case you have on your phone, the charger may not fit perfectly.

Try it without that case and use the OEM charger and see if it makes a difference in the feel.

So glad you mentioned this. I've got a few chargers around here I had to stop using. Plug them in and they feel so loose like they're about to fall out of the phone.

My charger is loose but my Note 1 charger fits in snugly. I will contact Samsung UK and get them to send me a replacement.

I'm not going to return the phone to Tmobile as its the lead which is dodgy, the phone is fine.

yes faced the same issue today and found that the back panel was not fitted from all edges. If you check closely somewhere there will be very slight gap. To fix this you pull the panel slightly away from the edge of the main body and then pull it down and it should snap with a click. And then you try your charger.

Sounds like you're talking about the battery cover which shouldn't have anything to do with the charging port.

I like the thicker gage cable that the Note 2 comes with, but yes, it does seem to yank out of the phone with a bit of a tug. The best cable I've had yet was the cable for the Galaxy S2, thinner yet sturdy wire that plugs into the phone with a bit of a snap. Every other cable that has come after it has not been as good, some horrible. The Note 2's thick cable is probably my second favorite cable that comes out of a Galaxy device's box.

Tonight mine started fitting a bit loose. Up until it had been really right. My snap is gone.

I got my new one today, and now with the case on it, it feels like it's even more snug. There's no room for it to play at all. I'm a case person though, and the case has always helped the connector stay snug with any phone I've had.

Didn't you just order a Samsung case? Hopefully that will help.

Well - technically the Galaxy Note 2 uses a unique 11pin "MHL/ USB" connector - so reports of some being "loose" is no surprise here

The Galaxy Note2 shares the same physical 11 pin connector as the popular Galaxy S3

While its "compatible" with 5 pin Micro USB Sync / Charge cables - its main purpose is:

The 11-pin connector design supports the use of USB and MHL simultaneously -
