Clock time consistently wrong

Whenever my phone goes into sleep mode the clock stops at the time it was when it went to sleep. It takes about 20 min-1hr sometimes for it to update to actual time. And sometimes the toolbar clock and the desktop clock show 2 different times and they may both be wrong! I don't know about you, but accessing the correct time seems like it should be a pretty essential and simple task for a smart phone... (Lame!)

Anyone know of a way I can fix/go around this problem?

I have heart about others having this problem but have never encountered it. Depending how new your phone is, you might want to consider doing a factory reset. If that doesn't work an exchange may be in order.

Are you running the stock battery?

I bought a pair of batteries and a charger off ebay for $10 (got it refunded btw) and when I put in a battery (which would barely charge) I got a date of 1980.

Run OEM batteries. They are worth the cost.
