Root CM7 Inc2, VZW, no signal.

When I flashed CM7 it worked great. After going to Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks, and checked use 2G only and switched back to 3, it now bugs and will not connect to the cell towers. Ive tried resetting the phone, toggling on/off airplane mode and still nothing. The settings actually appear to hang.

This is really annoying. and is a dealbreaker for using CM7 any ideas?

Ill try to explain it again. There is no signal at all. No Service. No calls.

Just throwing this out there....

If you have Google Voice, throw on your wifi and dial *228. I'm completely winging this, but it may just work.

What is your PRL?

Good Idea, but I think the PRL has anything to do with the disconnect though. I mean when It was working perfectly until I played with that setting. It is as if it disabled the actual radio itself. I couldn't even get it out of airplane mode once i tried switching it on and off.

I was just asking to see if anything showed up for the PRL. If it looked funky, I would lean more towards the radio being screwy, too. I'll do some research for you.

the radio? sweet thanks for the help, I happened to see something about updating the radio, do you know how do do that?

From what I've read, you need to flash a new radio. To do this, go here and choose a radio. I'm not sure of the best radio, but maybe someone with CM will chime in. Once you download the radio, read this tutorial on how to install the radio. It seems pretty simple. Good luck!

Just wanted to say you aren't the only one with this problem. When I first flashed the ROM I was going through settings and clicked the 2G to see how it worked and then after disabling that 2G mode, it wouldn't connect to any cell towers. A factory reset and reflash of CM7 didn't help me either. I ended up flashing the stock ROM and flashing the original bootloader and then I had a signal again. I never tried flashing only the radio though. Good luck
