I have a Nexus One running 2.2.1 (FRG83) and it had been running smoothly for the last 8 months. One morning, when I received an incoming call, the process com.android.phone crashed and along with it all my contacts, call history and favorites was wiped out.
Since this was my first major issue with the phone, I thought of it as an one off event and restored my contacts from Lookout. For a second time in a week all my contacts, call history and favorites was wiped out - without getting any crash report. After that the process com.android.phone kept crashing repeatedly until I restarted my phone.
I am now left wondering how to solve this problem. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Abhi
