Help Date: December 1969???

Anybody else been having interesting date pproblems since the ota? I opened my calendar today in month view and it defaulted to December 1969. I then noticed a couple of emails that I received yesterday on the native email app that were date stamped 12/31/1969. I never noticed this before the update. I am completely stock, received the update ota and I have the box checked to get time/date settings over network.

I've had the same problem with some emails coming from my gmail account.

I don't know why it's not getting network time values for you, but if you want to know the significance of that date, Android is based off Unix, and 1/1/1970 was the start of the Unix epoch.

since I don't have my phone pulling the date/time from the network I run into this when I do a battery pull.
I just check and uncheck it over again and good to go.

Yep, what you do probably results in the time/date syncing just that one time and really, that's all you need. I mean what's the worst that could happen, you lose or gain a fraction of a millisecond a week?

I had this very problem on 4-21-10. I wound up turning the phone off for 5 min. It reset to to proper date.

I get that date popping up a lot when I am deleting emails that are already in my trash can!

Tried that, and a battery pull. Didnt work. That's just really strange!

I never had my phone date change. I only had this when I was deleting emails and I would see all these fake emails at the bottom of the list with the december 1969 date. Nothing happens when you try to click on them so I just delete them along with the other ones!!
