Desire, keypad frustration, broken? anyone else?

Hi there i am posting this just as a tester to see if anyone else hax this problem with their desire, sometimes it works no problems at all other times its like its mental and the wind and everything else you could think of makes it select items press letters although the problem doesnt seem to be anywhere near as bad on the number pad, also when it is playing up it seems to be the y button that is its favorite and it doesnt matter where you are actually pressing with the delete button obviously being overused to compensate, but then the ext day it behaves perfectly and makes me look like a moaning nutter, anyway just thought id ask, cheers in advance for any ideas. ps its going back on Tuesday for checking T-mobile have been really good about it actually, touch wood that continues, cheers fa Billy
