I am trying to spoof a build prop but I dont want to deal with bootloop recovery again. I have heard you should not change
ro.build.version.sdk
or
ro.build.version.release
I know changing SDK might not be the wisest choice; every tutorial says you can change version.release. I just ran across a bootloop warning for changing version.release
But as far as I can tell, version.release must be changed or apps still think I am using an old version. Am I wrong? I don't want to brick my device. So, which ones should I really not screw with.
Is it dangerous to mess with any of these? More importantly, can apps / the Play Store see this stuff?
