does gps work ?

I turned off all location services 'cept gps. I am unable to obtain a gps lock in an office building. Is this typical of all phones; all razr or just my razr ?

In an office it may acquire lock or not, depends on the building. Wireless location will definitely help.

Indoors, or even outdoors in heavy tree cover, GPS units have trouble finding and locking on satellites. Wireless works better in some locations, but won't give as accurate a location.

Gps is line of site. If you can't see the sky it will be thought for your gps to sense the signal.
