Downloading apps issue?

All of a sudden, yesterday, my apps won't download or update! I hit the update button (or download) and it exits me back into the home of the market place, and I wait. I wait. And I wait. Nothing. I look back on the page and it is stuck on "Starting download..."

Any solutions or ideas?

EDIT: Also, the "Google Talk" solution won't work for me - Talk just exits back to the home screens when I touch the icon.

maybe the servers overloaded? i have the same problem sometimes when downloading on the market.

I doubt that's the problem.

I'm also wondering: will Froyo fix this?
