I have successfully rooted my Nexus, while doing so Windows 7 installed the driver for "Nexus 7", but not for "Nexus". I installed that manually, and Windows called it an Android device (or something similar).
After the root, Windows recognizes the Nexus okay, and I can transfer files and one device is displayed called "Portable Media Player" with a picture of a phone and earplugs
Is Windows supposed to recognise two devices, one for the above and the other for "Nexus" or Android device?
Also for some strange reason when I transfer all my music folders, not all transfer, but when I do it one folder at a time it does work - any idea why?
Sorry for long post!
