Email attachment query

[Android Question]

Hi...i have been ditched by my new lumia smartphone. Quite a lot of times I need to download a PDF file and then send it as an attachment to another email address. So can i actually send it attached to the mail on an Android phone...or is it like lumia where I have to send them a link to download the PDF file? Your answer would help me decide to buy the next smartphone.
