OK, so I've been lurking around XDA and here trying to gather opinions but there are too many builds, versions, and everything else.

What ROMs are using 2.3 as a Basebuild? If you are using them what are your opinions? I'm looking to flash soon and want to try a few but still uneasy about a few. I've read that CM7 wasn't really stable.

CM7? latest Fresh? Azrael? ect ect?

im running cm7 and although its not "stable" it's pretty far along and feels nice, just depends if missing features are going to put a damper on things, i'm using it as my dailey right now, but there is still GPS problems and some intermittent wi-fi issues... still i like GB ALOT

What kernel are you using with it?

stock kernel (which i believe is the 6.1.2 stock kernel right now) i had toast's on there for a few days and it was too buggy for me, same with the SBC trickle charge kernels, seems that the stock CM kernel has most of the bugs worked out for now

Besides GPS and Wifi what features will I miss out on? Is there anything different within the 2.3 platform that is interesting?

I do depend on Wifi often so I'm curious as to what exactly you mean...

wifi works, i think people are just reporting problems with it not going to standby and coming back properly, i personally like it alot, not sure if they got the camcorder working yet but that was another problem i would suggest doing a NAND backup of your current set-up and trying lithid's compilation of CM7RC0 and sticking with the stock kernel, just give it a whirl for a few hours when you have the time...

saleen I don't know if you have seen this but I really prefer this list over reading through the mess of threads on xda.

it's major downfall is that I don't believe it is updated that frequently

I have the list Bookmarked on my home computer. I looked at it last night and couldn't decided b/c it has not been updated recently. I think my main goal was just to get people's opinions.

Does anyone know if Azrael is on 2.3 base?
