Hey everyone, I just wanted to say hi, and that I just got my first Android device- the Epic 4G. I came from the T-Mobile Sidekick, then Blackberry, and it's great to have arrived here at the promised land, haha.

I do have one question: do any apps from Blackberry carry over to an Android phone? Namely, I was hoping to transfer DocumentsToGo and Beejive over to my Epic, but if I can't then I will just purchase them again. Thx!:)

    Welcome to Android Forums!

I believe Docs to Go will transfer. Not sure about the others.

Hey thanks! It's good to be here and I'm definitely liking the phone.

Welll, I saw that DocsToGo full version was on sale for half-price, so I nabbed that. Do you have a favorite IM app? I tried Ebuddy but it seemed to freeze up my phone a bit and logging into Facebook chat was tough. I liked Beejive for Blackberry.

Im a devoted gTalk user. Was on my Blackberry as well.

For FaceBook chat, i prefer the AIM app. No, you do not have to have an AOL account for this app. It will let you choose to sign in via AOL or FaceBook. Its pretty smooth.
