FISSION V1.2 can be found HERE.

Fission 2.0.1 Available to download for Droid X. Looks like a good one.

I do not take credit for this Rom only sharing the information. Great ROM. I keep trying Rubix and Apex and keep coming back.

Thank you Team Defuse for your hard work and great ROM.

If you are coming from any ROM besides Fission then SBF before you install this.

If you are on Fission and did not SBF before you came to Fission then SBF too.

Do NOT clog thread with posts like "how can I find SBF" If you take 2 minutes to look around you will find it.

This ROM does NOT lose root. You must install root from market or check /sdcard/fission/addon for superuser.apk, bootstrap and terminal.

If you have the latest OTA update then I suggest you do not install this ROM in the case something goes wrong you will be stuck with a brick. You will not be able to SBF your phone YET. So the choice is up to you.

Fission 2.0.1 works on new and old kernel.
Fission 2.0.1 works on new baseband or old.

DO NOT INSTALL ANY THEMES FOR THIS ROM UNLESS THEY ARE MADE FOR FISSION 2.0. THAT EVEN INCLUDES THEMES FOR FISSION < 2.0. Almost all apps are different and are Android 2.2.1 versions.

Themers please get in touch with me before you release your themes. I would like to test them first because a couple of old ones caused problems and I will work with you to get them right. Fission will only support themes that are made for Fission.

This is a great ROM and I think I've found the one that I'm sticking with. Make sure you follow the directions exactly!! A lot of people over at XDA were experiencing a few bugs when they didn't follow directions. Also, for anyone that wants to assign specific ringtones for people and it's not working flash this .zip that AngDroid provided on the 12th page of the forum at XDA. I flashed it and it worked great for me.

"Dumb question but since the Dx and D2 are so similar can they use the same themes?

I'm dying to use one of the many Droid 2 themes available."

"Not a dumb question. Everything is the same but for the camera and framework. There will be themes ported to the DX in a few days.

Also, we will have more of a stock like settings package, if not then a stock settings package. We are thinking an AOSP and Moto type mix might work good. I believe the cell stand by display bug will be fixed in a couple of days too.

And we have added a reboot option in the power menu [IMG] I am not sure if I want to take a video now, add the reboot to recovery option or get some sleep. Drod, Requim and myself stayed up late and finished them up awhile ago so there will be a patch later on today or tomorrow.

After that the plan is to work on an expanding the current overclock module to more slots and possibly a utility in the settings package that will allow you to overlcok and set voltage within the settings app. The timing now just depends on how much free time we can get together to work on it.

I will take some pics and maybe a video later...not a big deal but it is nice to see that option back [IMG]"

    starting to sound pretty sweet....:)

This happened to me once before. I did a factory reset and then it activated fine.

FYI for anyone who's interested. I get excellent battery life on this rom. I've got one of those DX's that gets ok battery life and can get me through the day well enough, but not this 18-24 hr crap. Today on fission 2.0.1, running on jRummy's OC on low voltage at 1.1 ghz, I've had it off the charger since 6:30 this morning (EST) and its only down to 80%. Nice.

Only complaint so far is that I haven't been able to download anything from the market. The download indicator shows it downloading to 100%, then it just disappears, no installation. Could be a phone or market issue, not just the ROM, but tried several times and couldn't download either Lookout or other programs. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

You may want to try the ultra low voltage since your only OCing to 1.1GHz. The ULV is still higher than stock so it will probably work for you and help save even more battery.

It happened to me after the factory reset. I called customer service and did a manual activation with them. I have the steps if anyone needs them.

1.2 started to have random input lag after a few days of use, so I'm trying apex right now and then will try this one to compared which one I like better.

This is a problem I've had on a number of ROMs. I don't have a real solution, but a work-around is to go to the 'download' directory on the SD card via your file manager of choice and install the downloaded .apk file from there.

Follow the instruction to the T - phone would not activate and lost root :(

This rom runs great, but I'm getting battery manager FCs.

Same here. Just activate your phone, and if it doesn't activate then I can post how to manually activate or cal customer service and tell them you reset and it doesn't activate.

for the root problem install superuser.apk which is located in the fission folder on your sd card or use their one click root which is listed on the same page as the rom.

Figured it out. Was using a setting in jRummy's OC app to "install apps to sd card". Changed it back to default and can once again install apps.

Well I have to say that I am in no way new to this but I struggled recovering from this one. SBF'd 4 times to finally get it to take even after a factory reset. Once I got SBF flashed, none of the four root methods I tried would take. Finally I SBF'd one more time, used the DarkOnion root method and got root back. Back to Apex 1.0, man that was a haul, still have no idea what went wrong. I will try Fission sometime next week.
