Fixing SGS2 battery drain problem

It's almost ridiculous how ICS developers havent found a way to fix this. Its been going on for a year and they dont realize its a big problem? I've researched all over the internet and there is no way to truly fix it... why? Its been a year and still no fixes. All I hear is "Do a factory reset" but that doesnt always work. How can I truly fix this stupid battery draining problem
