    Hi,

Im building fitness app and I making videos for all the exercises.
except the videos will be animated images 2-3 images that run together in forever loop exactly like GIF
My question is in what format do I need to use to put in the app.
I need a small file size of course.
The problem with GIF only supprt in 256 colors, it means that it destroys all image quality, it looks bad, so Im not interested in using this format.
Also dont forget I need to upload and put it inside the app (It will be built in). Video it cannot be because the size of it is big, and I need loop forever.

Hope I explained my question clearly.

    Thanks for your support!

    mikedt 你好

As this is an app development question, you might be better asking in the app development forum. Maybe a mod could move this thread? Your enquiry seems clear enough, but I'm not a dev myself of course, so can't help you

it's called APNG (anumation png), but the question is, if it will work there.
Ill give you example, if you will open it in windows (no matter what software) it will not work like a gif.
BUT if you will open it in browser, it will work there.

Well.. It's like this: if you're making an android app, 99.999999% of images and icons are using .png image format in an app.. I've torn apart many an app back in the day for my theming process.

I know but its not only 1 image its 2-3 image run together as a GIF...
I know you're using a single image as a PNG, but its not the situation...
    Got what Im saying?
