Gmail app won't update

I have a Samsung Stratosphere, and I recently was on the droid market (google play or whatever) because it said there was an update to the Gmail app. However, upon installing it, it has made no changes. The strange thing is that when I get new email, it shows up in the updated Gmail app, but once I leave the app, I can't get back to it. If I click on Gmail in my app menu, it opens the old Gmail.

Any ideas?


EDIT: Never mind. I was using the wrong email program. Long story.

try deleting the app and data do menu setting applications manage applications goto gmail delete data then uninstall app now reinstall from market this should solve your problem
