Root Google apps (Gmail, Market) not working!

I have been using CM7 for about a year now without any problems. It was about 3 days back that I started experiencing problems accessing Gmail and Android Market from my Desire HD. The Gmail does not sync anymore and the Android Market doesn't show up. I have upgraded to CM 7.2 to see if it resolves the issue but to no avail. Help me!!

Not sure this will help tbh but I had this on a custom rom (not CM7) with the same problems and the only way I could resolve it was to do a factory reset. I guess you could get a market.apk file but I'm sure I tried that also to no avail.

I did a complete Factory Reset few times. At the first reset, it did show signs of improvement when I was able to see apps within the Market application but couldn't download the updates. Later the situation became the same. Is this something to do with the CM 7 ROMS? Since I was on CM 7 and then updated to CM 7.2.

Not sure this would work, but I would try Wipe Dalvik and Wipe Cache.
