Anybody got a different link to the file needed to link the google search bar? I registered @ androidcentral but it's still never sent me an initial email to log in so I can't access the file. Grrr...
Downloaded the NoLock app. With lock disabled the search softkey doesn't work at all. If I go back and enable lock, the search key works as it should. Routes to google search box with short press, google voice search with long press. (Using no root method as above with LP and Dolphin)

I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly...
So by following the instructions they listed you can use Google search WITHOUT rooting, but inorder to use the Google voice search you DO have to root?

Yes, no root. You have to use Launcher Pro to get google voice search and a google search bar. I also use an android 7 theme with LP which is great. Search android 7 to see how great this is. I can go back to touch whiz any time I want to go stock.
