Help Group Messaging Not working properly

Ok, 3 of my friends all have iphones and they all do a group text so its almost like a chat room, they tried to add me to the Group message and all my messages show up from everyone individually unlike thiers as its shows from the group... so i get my messages all confused now.. any idea... i use handcent as my messaging app but i also have tried it on the messaging app.
