Root [H631/MS631] CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG G Stylo

Okay so now we're just working on he LED? And on a side note, is there any way to port tap to wake functionality to this ROM?

The GPS on 7-14 causes soft reboots for me, even it I use the app you mentioned. It happens randomly. Sometime there are no reboots for hours or even a full day, then all of a sudden it starts rebooting. The LED lights don't work, and Video Recording crashes the camera. I tried using many camera apps, and Video does not work. The CM12 ROM is beautiful, and so smooth. If only the GPS and Video Recording worked, I would never ever go back to stock LG

GPS and video recording were fixed last month for the Leon and Stylo. I haven't ran a build for the Stylo due to LED. I'm working on that now and should have it somewhat working tomorrow.

How can I send you a donation? Words can't describe how I appreciate your work, even tho you don't own the device. Thousands of people all over the world will benefit. I'm excited to see the new build. Thank you again.

Thank you for all the hard work and dedication put into getting this rom up and running smooth, can't wait for a stable version. I want to go ahead and install but really would like a functional video and gps. Has anyone used this rom at its most recent update and if so any way you can give some input? Big thank you again for your time and energy!

KrazKidra, the 7-14-2015 build is nearly perfect EXCEPT:
  1. No Video recording
  2. GPS causes random reboots
  3. No red notification light
Everything else is very smooth. Absolutely ZERO bloatware, NONE. You get a pure Nexus Android experience. The way Android should have been. In the background I have only 4-6 apps run in the background. With the stock LG, I had over 15_ and that's AFTER I removed a buch of crapware. Bottom line: beautiful, fast, simple. I attached a few of my own screenshots:

Yes we could be days away from a fix. You gotta thank Noobified. He is the developer who is almost solely responsible for this ROM. Read a few pages back on this thread. Video and GPS HAVE been fixed. The only thing left to do is to finalize the build. I've been waiting since July.

Tony, there isn't even official CyanogenMod ROM support for this mid-grade device. We have yet to have a stable stock Android rom. The Stylo provably will never get official CyanogenMod development. We are lucky to have a semi working CM12 ROM thanks to TeamRegular. The probable answer is no.

There may be a possibility that LG will update the Stylo thru an Over The Air update in the future, since the Stylo had Lollipop when it was released, and its under 1 year old. But I would be amazed and shocked to see CyanogenMod 13 (Marshmallow)

Yea but the problem is, LG, like Samsung and Sony all put their stinking skin over Android and tarnish the original zen feeling of stock Android. In the future, I will be carefull which phone I purchase. Only buying a device that has active xda development, or buying a Nexus.

You guys are the best but are there any plans to update it to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

LG Will be updating this phone to Android 6.0, but do not expect it till mid next year.

Official doesn't mean anything, and many devices that are official are still more broken than our device is.
This device needs very little work to be fully stable and perfectly useable.

Also, once the source for Android 6.0 is released, and we have the source for the Stylo after LG updates the Stylo to Android 6, it will then be fully possible to have an Unofficial CM 13 build just as we have a CM 12.1 build now. There is nothing stopping this.

So does anyone know when the final cm 12.1 version will be realesed for the stylo?

While I personally would love to know this myself, and would have been happy to have the GPS fix released without the LED fix as I use Android Wear for notifications anyways. Asking for ETAs or when it will be released is considered very rude in this community, and truly only hurts the development as most devs seriously hate that question.

Using the GPS locker I got 100% accuracy. I'm a district manager and drive all over NJ and NY all week. I've used it for a week and no issues. It's spot on.

Still doesn't mean the device is using full GPS, you can get 100% gains using Battery Saver as well. I can use the device fine without full GPS, but using apps that require GPS coordinates for logging will only work with true GPS enabled.

I'm dying myself to know this answer, but everyone including myself need to be patient.
