Name is Vince, I have had old school flip phones forever, and just ordered a smart phone, So figuered i would get some info. I get Discounts with Verizion at work. Ordered the Driod Eris. Got a smokin deal. So ya, just lookin for tips and info on it. Been reading that it has android 1.5, but there is a 2.1 update. Being that i just ordered,w ill mine be updated or will i need to/ should i? Ect.

Chances are that it'll already come with the 2.1 update. Be sure to check your firmware first thing though just in case it didn't (and you want to update).

Your device will probably have 1.5 on it, so you'll have to do the update.
