Help New Andriod User

I was trying to add pics and music to my MYtouch and cant figer out how to do it it dose not pop out on my Computer any help would be good thanks

1. Attach phone to computer via USB cable. Computer should find the phone (I am assuming you are using Windows)

2. On your phone, pull down the notification bar. You should see two entries: one for "syncing" your phone (this is for syncing contacts, etc), and another for "mounting" your SD card. Choose the option to "Mount the SD card"

3. You should now get an Autorun popup on your computer asking you what you want to do. You can choose to "explore" the SD card. In the explorer window you will see the folders on your SD card.

4. Photos go in the folder named DCIM. If you open that folder, you will see the various folders for photos and video. You can create new folders in here, or add photos to an existing folder in here. You can drag and drop from another Windows Explorer window open to your photo files.

5. Music goes in to the Music folder. You can drag and drop to this folder, or open it and create new folders inside for albums, or genres, or artists.

6. IMPORTANT: When you are done, _on your phone_ pull down the notification bar again, and you will see an option to "unmount" the SD card. Choose this option. The phone and Windows will finish up any file transfers and unmount the SD card. Once it is finished doing this, you can disconnect the phone from the computer.

This is how it's done with an HTC Magic (same as the MyTouch) so it should work this way. I make no guarantees. ;-)

sorry but where do u put the rings to in the music folder

To add new ringtones, connect your phone to USB and mount the device on your PC. Browser to the following folders:

/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
/sdcard/media/audio/notifications

You can also put ringtones in /sdcard/music/ringtones and they will work.
