How can you identify which photos have been backed up on the Google Photos app?
The Google photos mobile app shows both photos on your phone and photos backed up to Google Photos but it doesn't differentiate

You are correct.
You can open a browser on your device and go to photos.google.com to check which ones are uploaded.

it syncs everything in your google photos app. it doesn't differentiate. so whenever photos was last synced is what you see online. i never have to do anything to get my pics uploaded. i have it set for auto sync....otherwise you can do it manually.

But it has very limited space!
I use mostly Terabox, but On ocassionaly I will use google photos.
