Help How do I delete same contact imported from SIM and gmail account?

I was saving contacts to my gmail account. I needed to return my phone for repairs and they gave me a really old loaner phone that couldn't sync with gmail. I exported all my contacts from gmail to the SIM card, put the SIM in the loaner phone and added some more contacts to the SIM. I got back my real phone put the SIM card back in, imported the contacts from it, and added my gmail account. When my gmail account synced now all but the new contacts are added twice to my contact list. How can I fix this?
