So My Friends Have Been Telling Me To Get Root And Telling Me All The Benefits It Allows Me To Have.

I Was Looking To Root My Phone But I First Need To Unlock Bootloader First. My Phone Is A Samsung Galaxy S7 Running Oreo Sm-G930V. If Anyone Has The Answer To Unlock Bootloader On My Phone That Would Be Great.

Unless you really need an app that requires root, ther's little point in rooting these days. Unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery like TWRP - definitely worth it, as your phone has a very active development community, who have ported Android 9 Pie to the phone. I doubt if Samsung will ever provide that.
Oh, and if you do decide to root, please use Magisk as it doesnt' mess with the system partition (which may cause problems with some of Android's or Samsung's security features.

It's not worth it. Stay rootless, my friend.

Actually root us worth the cause, he can remove those shitty bloatware apps, increase hus battery life and free up ram and give him more storage space, just because ROOT is irrevslant to some people, many people love root because of the control you have over the OS

Rooting is too much of a hassle, banking, work, and streaming apps will not function once rooted. If your not proficient with rooting just leave it alone

    Here we go, yet again....
To root, or not to root, that is the question.

For my uses, not to root is fine

yeah hold on that guide is from 2016

    here try this one:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616

they main thing is if you want info on how to root or anything root related, head on over to xda. it is a developer forum where most devs publish their goodies.

and always read, read, read, read, then read some more, and finally ask questions here if you have any.

    good luck

I'm not seeing the bootloader unlocking + ROM flashing as even possible, being a VZW device. They're very discriminatory against ROM development.. You'd need an International version with the Exynos chip.

Magisk is a whole another animal vs SuperSU and the MagiskHide capability can sometimes work

Some root objecting apps would only detect the presence of SuperSU, and not run. I believe that's one reason why Magisk is an improvement over SuperSU.
