I am building my cm 7 situation gradually. Having gps is huge. I have the setup backed up and will go back again to it when more stuff is working.

Too many things missing, no camera, spotty GPS at best, plus no hardware video decoding.

I really hope they get these features incorporated, because the speed of CM7 on the DroidX is just amazing.

I went from Apex RC2 to CM7 to Libery 0.8 and now back to Apex RC2. CM7 was rediculously fast and I REALLY liked a TON of things about it but in the end I ended up back with Apex.

Once CM7 is polished and everything is functioning I will be back but for the time being I'm sticking with Apex.

On a side note. I'm actually gonna try to find a cheap Incredible to play around with and use CM7 on it.

I'm back on APEX, needed the relability. Can't wait for the finished product though.

FastBurst Camera works on CM7. GPS can be fixed (just spotty location services). Video is hit or miss. I'm still on it. I prefer the AOSP not found elsewhere by another supported ROM.

What's the path back to .596? Is there a flashable zip from CM7?

edit - never mind, just sbf and install .596 using the two-file method

I keep hearing CM7 referred to as beta, when it's probably more like alpha. Beta code is usually feature-complete with minor bugs, suitable for every day use.

I'll give it a try, but some time after I get bored with the final version of Apex 2.0.
