How to re-add Contact List widget to home screen

I accidentally deleted the contact list widget/shortcut that appears at the bottom of the home screen (between "phone" and "messaging", along with "browser" and "apps"). I tried to add the widget back, but the only option it's giving is to make a shortcut for one contact. I want a shortcut that will take me to my entire contact list, not just one entry. Any ideas how to add it back?

First timer? Welcome to the forums.

"Contacts" is actually an application accessible from your app drawer. Try opening up the app drawer and long-pressing on it. It should let you drag it onto your home screen from there.

EDIT: Actually, the application might be called "people", or it is on my phone anyway.
