Is there a way to rename my app icons on my homescreen so I can find them easier? Thank you
I use nova launcher and create custom folders.... then put apps in the folders by category... if you havent triex nova launcher.. get it! Im pretty sure you can rename apps as well by pressing and holding until the lil black box pops up that says edit.... again im talking nova...
On custom launchers you do it by long pressing the icon then hit edit but i dont know about on the stock launcher.
You should check out Nova Launcher. its easy to set up because you can "import" your current homescreen layout to it
If you don't want to install a different launcher this will do the trick:
Quick Shortcut Maker: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut&hl=en
You can change the name and the picture.
My main problem is with Firefox for Android. When you tap on it's "add to home screen, it places a very long shortcut url on my phone.
I can't rename it!
Have you tried pressing and holding the icon - while in the app drawer and then dragging and dropping onto the homescreen rather than choosing to create a shortcut?
I change icons and you can rename them using icon changer. This is using the stock launcher.
On the Firefox bookmarks page, before saving the bookmark to the homescreen, choose edit, and put a decent name on the bookmark. That will be exported to the home screen as well.
Thank you been searching for that!
