Root How to root A2tude for dummies

Where can I get a step by step guide for dummies to enable multi touch on my Huawei Acent 2 (Cricket), using A2tude.
I am somewhat computer literate, but brand new to smartphones et all.
What I researched so far leaves me confused or at least unsure.
This is my only phone and I can't screw it up.

I have red all that, but am unsure as ever what I need to do.
There are so many variants I don't understand what they are and some of it seems conflicting to me as a newb.
I really need a step-by-step guide.
My M865 has Android v. 2.3.5. Kernel v. 2.6.35.7-perf
I downloaded following to my PC:

(US Cricket) huawei m865 GINGERBREAD.zip
A2tude v 1.74 signed.zip
CM7A2-BETA-09282011-signed.zip
CWM 4.0.1.4-M8654.zip
CWM Recovery 4.0.1.4.zip
update.zip

I have no clue which ones I need and how and in what sequence to use them.
I have ROM Manager v 5.0.0.5 installed.
I connected the USB to my PC and XP recognized the phone and reads the SD and its partitions.
I see a folder "update.zip" there.
The phone is set up for tethering enabled.
As I said, my main objective is to enable multi touch without losing important things I can't recover or bricking the device all together.

You should try asking in the root area for some personal help. The knowledgeable users there know your phone and root. They can best assist your. Good luck.
