I am happy to help with any problems my subscribers are having on their android devices. I am going to need lots of info from you to be able to help. Because of the large amount of messages I get every day I will not answer any questions that do not include this info in the message thanks for understanding. 1. What device you have. 2. What android version you are running. 3. What rom stock or custom rom / build number in about phone. 4. What you have done to the device. 5. Recovery stock, TWRP. CWM . With this info I will be able to help.

Paid $20, Followed instructions 100%, Bricked.

Can you share:
  • at what step in the process your phone bricked?
  • what happened when it bricked (did you notice anything)?
  • any other clues/pics/vids to help

Went through the whole process, when it said to restart my phone, I restarted and it gets stuck on the MOTO logo. Wont turn off until i press and hold power button. No clues, I am about to try to restore it with the rootjunky method. Was trying to do that earlier on a different computer and RSD wasn't seeing my phone. So hopefully on this computer it will work.

I saw that a few people were having to restart the root process and it worked on the second try. I don't think your phone is bricked... just stuck in a boot loop.

So what do i do? because I did the root process like 5 times and different computers. Same deal.

I apologize in advance, as this is slightly off topic.

Is the exploit used to root this phone applicable to other kitkat devices released in the same time frame, such as most of the ZTE phones, or my new temp phone, the Sharp Aquos Crystal? (phones running 4.4.x and a kernal built somewhere around/after September) Or is it an exploit that is only applicable to this phone and maybe a few others, like other new droids?

Also, is the exploit unknown to everyone but the developers or were they open and detailed about the exploit they used?

I am pretty on the fence about trying this currently just because I am still waiting for Lollipop and I don't know if I would be willing to stay back on KitKat once that gets released for our dear Turbo.
